The Backup365 development team have been hard at work creating the next wave of UI improvements.
Earlier this week we rolled out an update to converge, our single-pane-of-glass provisioning and management portal to allow our partners to self-provision Backup365 for SharePoint and OneDrive. Here is how it currently looks in converge.mp:
Onboarding and reporting configuration can be found within the ‘Services’ tab as shown above.
Select the service you would like to provision from the dropdown menu, or select the yellow Backup365 icon if you already have your customer’s mailboxes backed up. Next, click on the ‘SharePoint / OneDrive’ option and authorise your Office365 tenant and configure how often you would like to receive reports.
Also on the horizon we have the release of the Outlook Add-in, created with assistance of students at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. We’re very excited to provide more visibility and functionality to the end user within Microsoft Outlook, and provide peace of mind that all mail is being reliably and securely backed up to the cloud. A sneak peek of how this feature is looking currently:
Partnering with 3rd and final year students at RMS to build this tool turned out to be such a success that we have engaged them once more to assist with two new projects over the coming months: a Backup365 Teams app, and an export-to-PST feature for mailbox backups.
Stay tuned!
