Effective from the 13th October 2020, Google tells us every item in a user’s Trash folder will be permanently deleted after just thirty days (that 30 day mark is coming up quite soon). Previously, files were only permanently deleted after a user manually emptied their Trash folders with these ‘deleted’ being maintained indefinitely. This change matches the policies of other G Suite products and services, such as Gmail.
