What is your role at Manage Protect? Tell us about what you do.
My role in the Support team is to ensure I provide exceptional technical support service to our partners.
What’s your favourite part about the job?
The favourite thing about my job is the people I am surrounded by. Everyone is lovely and encouraging me to learn and excel in my role. I love learning about the solutions, cyber and networking security tools Manage Protect specialise in and how we can assist partners with issues they may encounter.
It was rewarding to close my very first support ticket during my first week. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow and develop both as a Helpdesk Engineer and member of the Manage Protect family.
Least favourite part about your job?
Just the constant fear and danger of too many stray stress balls flying around the room 😊
What did you do before Manage Protect? Tell us a bit about your background.
Previously I worked at a different global SaaS company called LiveTiles as a Customer Success Account Manager. I was responsible for maintaining and improving the day-to-day relationships with our customers with their products and identify opportunities to address their goals and requirements.
I did quite a lot of product demonstrations and training sessions to ensure customers are empowered with the knowledge they need to use the products to their fullest potential.
Before that I worked at LiquorLand which helped me really understand and appreciate more beverages!
What do you get up to outside of work?
I absolutely love learning an knowing how things work, so technology (computers and other HiFi appliances) became a big interest of mine. I also really love all things to do with cars, in particular maintaining and modifying them to be better, just like us as people do in many aspects of our lives.
I enjoy bush and coastal walks as well as training to be a better and healthier person at the gym. I also really love spending time with my friends on the weekend and having a good laugh being surrounded by good people.
What is your choice of beverage?
I love a good Caribbean Rum with coke. My favourite has to be the Plantation Pineapple flavoured Rum.
What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year?
Work wise, I am looking forward to learning more in the role, and continuing to understand and help partners. I am also eager to learn more about cybersecurity and have enjoyed doing some of the PII (Personal Identifiable Information) training and using resources we have available.
On a personal level, I am really looking forward to moving out of home and becoming more independent. I am also looking forward to selling my current car and hopefully getting a newer, better car which I can begin to modify (with some tasteful wheels and suspension modifications).
