Today the new Soonr desktop agents and Soonr Go IOS apps have been released. Many of you who have installed new agents or apps over the past few weeks may have already seen the new agent, but here are some of the key features.
IOS 1.1
Soonr Go 1.1 for iOS, the second release of our new generation mobile app, introduces:
- Touch ID support – Authenticate your Soonr account via Touch ID
- Scribble Text Tool and enhancements – A revamped Scribble tool with improved usability now includes a text tool
- Selective Sync – A new model for selecting which Projects and folders to sync to your device. Selective Sync allows you to specify exactly what gets synced
- Remote Access – Access your computers remotely, as well as your Soonr backups, via Soonr Go
Soonr Go 1.1 also includes various minor improvements
- iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ support (larger display support) – Native support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus screen dimensions
- View more content in preview and scribble modes – The interface in ‘Preview’ and ‘Scribble’ modes is less intrusive, allowing you to see more of your content
- Performance improvements – Various improvements to performance, in particular images
- Preview support for DCM files
- iOS9 compatibility
- 64 bit support
The Soonr Workplace Desktop Agent 5.1
The new Soonr Online integration features:
- Local editing via Soonr Online – Open and edit your files within your local applications via Soonr Online without first having to sync the files to your device.
- “Reveal in OS” option in Soonr Online – A new “Reveal in Explorer” (Windows) / “Reveal in Finder” (Mac) option has been added to the Soonr Online interface, allowing quick access to local files.
Updates and improvements:
- Amend folder name (to which the Project is synced) via Folder Sync
- Select sync settings during installation
- “Lock and Open” option in contextual menu
- Improved warnings
- Improved performance when syncing to a restored machine
- Improved sync status icon behaviour
